THE PORT RESTAURANT

The project is designed by Sanuki Daisuke Architects (SDA), which is located at T2 Terminal - Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi).

Almost the passengers are concerned about delaying the flight, it will take a lot of time to wait, with bulky luggage. So have a small place to stopover is a good idea, it is also the purpose to design this project - HOUSES IN THE AIRPORT. With the desire to create a living space and a relaxing time for customers.

The restaurant is located on the second floor, overlooking the exit counters and the T2 terminal. The restaurant grounds are divided into two separate areas, like two "box blocks", 250m2 each side, connected by the airport's public corridor.

The main objective of the designer is to create "HOUSES IN THE AIRPORT". With a wooden grid roof, a large space in the airport has been cut back, forming a more comfortable, cozy place, like relaxing in a home. In addition, the mesh roof may reflect some of the light available here, creating special viewing angles. More importantly, this roof system does not impose any constraints on the security requirements, technical systems, fire protection systems, air conditioning of the airport.

The project is a restaurant built in Vietnam should be used local natural materials such as stone, wood, block bricks ... The use of iron walls with the traditional pattern of Vietnam Nam just kept the privacy but still make sense open.
