National Technical Standard QCVN 09: 2017 / BXD replaces the Vietnamese Construction Standard QCVN 09: 2013 / BXD "Energy Efficient Buildings" issued under Circular No. 15/2013 / TT-BXD dated 26/9/2013 of the Minister of Construction.

This National Technical Building Energy Efficiency Building Code provides mandatory technical standards to achieve energy efficiency in the design, new construction or retrofit of buildings with a gross floor area of 2,500 m2 or larger, include:

1. Office buildings.
2. Hotels.
3. Hospitals.
4. Schools.
5. Commercial & Services Buildings.
6. Apartments Buildings.

- Building Covering Envelope.

- Ventilation system and Air-con system.

- Lighting system.

- Other electrical equipment (Electrical motor, water heating).
